This sake, called "Kumamoto Sake," has been produced for many years by the Tsūjun Brewery. It is a hot sake appreciated for its classic, yet unburdensome flavor. It is widely loved by both locals and a wide audience across the country.
The new cup celebrates the designation of Tsujun Bridge as a National Treasure, depicting a dynamic scene of its famous water projection.
This sake can also be enjoyed cold: it remains just as tasty.
Once the sake is finished, the cup can be reused as a glass. It is dishwasher safe, shock resistant and can therefore be used as a children's glass.
The ingredients are Hana Nishiki rice and Aki Geshiki rice, both grown in Yamato, Kumamoto Prefecture, along with rice koji made from rice from the same region, brewing alcohol, sugar, and an acidifier. The flavor profile is dry and light (tanrei karakuchi). The sake has an alcohol content of 15%, uses a yeast specific to Kumamoto, has a sake index (nihonshudo) of +6, and an acidity of 1.2.
