Preparation of Kuzuyu
In the pan
For about 1.8 L of boiling water, add 3 to 4 heaped tablespoons (about 36 g) of Kuzuyu . Simmer over low heat for 6 to 7 minutes, stirring regularly to ensure the leaves are evenly distributed. Remove the leaves when the drink has reached the desired strength.
Tip: Using a tea bag or filter makes it easier to remove the leaves. Do not boil for too long to preserve the tea's natural flavor. For a cold version, let it cool quickly and then refrigerate.
To the teapot
Place 2 heaped tablespoons of Kuzuyu in a teapot. Pour in about 300 ml of boiling water and let it steep for 1 to 2 minutes. You can re-infuse the leaves several times according to your taste.
Tip: Adjust the amount of tea and brewing time to achieve the desired strength. To fully enjoy the aroma, flavor, and natural benefits of Kuzuyu , brewing over low heat is recommended.
Precautions
This Kuzuyu is made from natural ingredients. Rare impurities may be found in the leaves. Each batch is carefully sorted, but if necessary, remove them before consumption.
